JORGE MORENO

Case Manager

Upon visiting the Latino Resource Center, you will likely be greeted by the warm smile of Jorge Moreno. As Case Manager, Jorge offers one-on-one assistance including: interpretation services, translations, and information on legal and financial counseling. He also acts as the public notary and the community resource coordinator.

Jorge has been part of the Jackson Community since 1996. He left Mexico City as a teenager, dreaming of a land of equal opportunity and abundance. In 2012, his life was turned upside down in the wake of a horrific accident. Incapacitated physically and financially, he turned to the Latino Resource Center for help. Astonished by the level of support provided over the course of his recovery, Jorge began volunteering at the LRC as a way to give back. Over the past two years, he has transitioned from a volunteer to an integral part of the full time staff. On the weekends, you’ll find Jorge fishing the lakes and streams of Jackson with his two boys.
