COUNT ON ME PROGRAM

"Cuenta Conmigo"

 

We believe it is vital for our organization to focus on the longer term and therefore on the next generation of Latinos in the community.

 

Cuenta Conmigo ("Cuenta") is a program that provides Spanish speaking families and their children with tools and skills to create their cultural identity while being active members of the community.  At its core, the program empowers children and teens to become leaders and helps them balance their American and Latino identity.  Kids and teenagers are given space to share their successes and challenges with each other and gain a new sense of self-awareness.  Ultimately, our goal is to allow these families a chance to recognize their true potential.  

 

Participants are organized into middle school students, high school students, and parents and meet throughout the year for week long workshops.
